Give us an insight into you
Hiiiii I’m Blanca, I am CB’s digital marketing manager – a Spaniard who’s lived in Brighton for the last 15 years, with a passion for gifs, graphic design, electronic music and soap making. Oh – and I’m a trained humanistic counsellor too! I have worked in marketing for the last 15 years running marketing communications and campaigns for the travel industry, aerospace, energy storage, engineering, construction or early years! I believe in working hard, having fun while doing it and a healthy work-life balance.
In a nutshell, what does your role consist of?
A lot of juggling! I oversee the creative side of the business – which means: overseeing projects, working with clients to ensure we create marketing strategy and campaigns that help solve their challenges. But also, copywriting, social media management, paid advertising, content strategy… and beyond!
What are 3 things you love about working at Creative Blend?
It’s hard to pick only 3 but if i had to narrow it down it down I would have to choose:
1. The flexibility of my role and the fact I can work from wherever and whenever.
2. The trust the CB Team and clients put in my skills/ability to find the right solution for their challenges – I feel it gives me a real sense of autonomy and trust (which I love!)
3. Last but certainly not least, is the wellbeing budget we are given every year to spend on literally whatever we like (mine usually is spent on bath bombs from Lush)!
What is a cause that is close to your heart?
As a person with a chronic illness and lived experience of stress and anxiety, I’m extremely passionate about mental health, especially now more than ever after the pandemic. In my spare time I volunteer for a local charity as a counsellor.
What are some of your favourite TV shows?
Ohh tricky, so many! I like thrillers and murder documentaries but also I’m a big Drag Race fan! I’d say I’ve recently really enjoyed Succession, Mindhunter and The Sinner.
What is your favourite type of cuisine and spot in Brighton?
I am crazy for Asian food, especially Thai food and Sushi. Favourite restaurants will have to be: Kanok Thai and Goemon, both in Preston street!
