In the spirit of Christmas coming up, and another year coming to a close, we thought we’d get all reflective and look back on what has been a great year (both in and out of the business) for the CB team. Keep on reading to find out our yearly round-up of our top moments and proudest achievements from 2022.
Grown the team
Back in April we took on our latest edition to the team, our marketing assistant Hannah. Her fresh Gen Z approach to all things social, playful style of copywriting and her creativity when creating content, has really bridged a gap in our marketing team and made her a fabulous addition to the business and a valued member of the team! Team work makes the dream work
In 2022 we’ve had some truly great team days. As our team work remotely (some local to Brighton and some as far as Lancashire and Edinburgh), it gives us a regular chance to catch up on all things work related and stay up to speed on eachothers lives outside of work, which is always super important to help us feel connected. Although we have our weekly meetings over zoom without fail (which we use as a sounding board for any new ideas or questions relating to our client work), for the more meaty-in depth discussions or any project collaborations, the in-person monthly meetings are ideal. We also use these days to try out different local restaurants in the Brighton & Hove area and have some well-deserved after-work team drinks!
New business
On top of our existing clientele of amazing businesses we have worked with on a regular basis for many years, in 2022 we’ve had the chance to get our teeth into some really exciting projects. Our development team has created 8 new websites completely from scratch with all the bells and whistles! We’ve also taken on 4 new marketing retainer clients who we work with on a monthly basis offering them a wide and varied range of digital marketing support. Planted Trees
In June we partnered with digital sustainability pioneers Ecologi in efforts to create more of a positive impact environmentally and reduce our carbon footprint. We’re all aware of the current climate crisis and were keen to find a way we could get involved and offset our carbon footprint, which is how we found out about Ecologi. Our partnership with them involves a monthly subscription which ensures we are planting trees internationally. On top of that, every time we take on a new project, we donate an additional amount which allows Ecologi to plant 250 trees on our behalf. So far we’ve planted 900 trees! These Trees have been planted in a number of different places including Kenya, Mozambique, Uganda & Madagascar to name a few!
Worked with our favourite Charities
Another important part of our 2022 was working with our two amazing charities – Together Co & Clock Tower Sanctuary. In the Summer we went through a vigorous selection process and both of these were selected unanimously by the CB team for the amazing work they do in our local community. Some of the work we’ve undergone as part of our monthly charity commitment work has been social media audit & strategy, SEO audit & updates, UX audit & recommendations, WordPress training and we’ve even had the pleasure of volunteering for our friends at Together Co.
It’s been a pleasure working with both of these charities thus far and we can’t wait to continue to help them spread their impact even further in the new year!
Sharpened up our skills
Being part of the CB team we all receive an annual training budget where we can book events, conferences and different forms of training in areas that spark our interest and areas we’d like to develop further. Below are some pictures of the great training events we’ve attended, special mentions to Pixel Pioneers, Brighton SEO & Croud who put on some of our favourite events.

What's the team been up to in their spare time?
In 2022 all of the CB team have not only had work to keep them busy; in their spare time you can catch them doing anything from traveling, Puppy training or even studying for an additional degree!
