Carzam | Branding
Carzam | Branding
In late 2019 we were contacted by the lovely people at Big Motoring World where founder Peter Waddell had an idea for a completely online dealership called Carzam. With his business partner John Bailey they wanted to make buying a used car easy and even enjoyable! The pair give a full interview at Car Dealer Magazine.
After speaking with the Big Motoring World team we were asked to create a brand which used the following acceptance criteria:
- The new brand must make potential customers feel a sense of ease and security
- Introduce calming brand colours
- Make the brand feel modern
After the kick-off meeting we were really excited to get started on the brand (we were full of ideas) and work with such a passionate bunch of professionals, who clearly spotted a gap to help their customers have the best possible experience whilst buying a new car (what’s not to love)!
Once the new brand definition was agreed the stage was set for Chloe to get to work. The first iterations of the brand came from initial sketches, before moving into some early digital designs. We always find having some early ‘scamp’ style designs available help us get to the real nitty-gritty of the brand feel very quickly.
As always Chloe was quick to work through feedback with the client and take the brand from a modern “exciting” style to a more technology-themed brand whilst still keeping the same values listed above.
As part of the work for Carzam we created:
- A brand icon set to be used as part of the brands wider ‘mark’
- Brand guidelines
- Font selections
- Colour palette
- Business card and Letterhead design
- Social media templates
- And finally banners to be used on all social channel.
Since creating the new brand we’ve had some great feedback from the client and we look forward to seeing it feature on their new website (created by our partners 67 Degrees) which launched in early September!
