The Brief:
In early 2021 we were approached by our friends at Very Tall who asked if we would partner with them on a new website project for the lovely people at Education Cubed! “Of course” We replied.
Education Cubed were looking to take their website to the next level; firstly by re-addressing the companies ‘narrative’ (handled by Very Tall) and secondly to make their website work harder!
Education Cubed offers friendly, approachable digital marketing services solely for higher-level education.
Following an initial kick-off meeting to discuss the full requirements of the brief, including the nuances of the service we were ready to get started!
The requirements were as follows:
- The website must be easy to update and maintain
- The new website must promote key messages and present a clear lead generation funnel
- The layout must be clear & the information scannable, whilst promoting the brand’s services & case studies
The Approach:
As with many of our projects we began by spending time with the client to understand their market, website aspirations, business, brand, team structure, and the new content structure.
This “Discovery Phase” is of vital importance as it provides our team a deeper understanding of the desires of the business and the type of website they need. This also led us to understand Education Cubed was during that time going through something of an evolution of their brand; with new fonts, colours, imagery & even a re-mastered logo coming in! This did add some complexity to the project however it critically allowed us to make suggestions on fonts, imagery and brand representation on site.
Following our kick-off meeting and Discovery Phase, the team at Very Tall had penned the final copy for the website! “Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together!”
Now we had a really clear picture of how the new website should present itself. Working through a few iterations of the design on our development website, we were able to begin ‘drilling’ down to the final website layout.
After a really positive review call with the client & Very Tall, we moved onto the final stages where we implemented some small copy tweaks, updates to imagery and finally began preparing for launch.
Following the completion of the project, we provided Education Cubed with a series of training videos, displaying how to use their new website which will be useful for years to come!
Since launch, we’ve had some great feedback from the client, and we hope they are getting their own positive response from their customers as well!
