Port Hotel | Website Support

Port Hotel | Website Support

The Brief:

Port Hotel is a chic new boutique hotel located in Eastbourne. Their owners were getting ready to open its doors to the public for the first time after lockdown and wanted some help from us to update Port’s website with new pages.

Grant and his team are excellent at adding value to the business. They are very commercially minded.

The Approach:

After a couple of calls and meetings, we got a clear idea of what updates were required for Port Hotel’s website:

  • SEO support. As part of our services, we provided an in-depth, search analysis of the hospitality market, highlighting search volumes and specific keywords that were necessary to be added to the website, as well as some technical SEO analysis to see where the current Port Hotel website was currently ranking. Our research highlighted different opportunities for content, which lead to critical copy updates on Port’s website.
  • Page updates. While the Port Team put together some new optimised copy, we created some new pages that showcased the professionally taken photographs of their rooms and restaurant. We also created a tumblr-style gallery page where you can get a real feel for what this stylish boutique hotel is all about, as well as creating different pages for different services (brunch, dinner, cocktails) or their special hire offers.
  • Navigation re-structure. Because new pages needed to be added, we also had to re-structure the navigation menu of the website. Here, our SEO expert Liam and our marketing guru Blanca, worked together to ensure the page structure made sense from a UX standpoint and the url structure for the different pages was optimised for SEO too.

The result? Port Hotel Eastbourne opened its doors with an up-to-date website, ready to welcome its guests in the lead-up to (hopefully) a sunny summer!
