The Brief:
The Sentence Works are a husband-and-wife team who can do very clever things with words. With a background in journalism they have what it takes to make the written word exciting and compelling!
Combining their skills together The Sentence Works team provide services in content & copywriting, Editing and Training courses (now online as well) to get your sentences working better for you!
Upon first meeting Judy at the Brighton and Hove Chamber event in 2017, it was clear the previous brand and website were outdated and Judy wanted to re-launch The Sentence Works with a fresh, new, & striking look!
In a nutshell, the brief for the branding was to make The Sentence Works brand more lively with a clear colouration and style.
During the project, we created a new logo design coupled with a new icon/mark, a new colour palette, business cards and helped adapt Social Media campaigns to bring the brand together.

We wanted to rebrand to bring all elements of our business together. Creative Blend designed our new logo and website and were incredibly easy to work with. They were very responsive to all of our questions and suggestions. We’re really pleased with our new website, which looks fantastic.?

The Approach:
Our first step to the project was to better understand the services and the future plans for The Sentence Works. Now that this was understood, we moved our attention to the branding which was in need of ?perking-up?. Working through 5/6 different logo designs from the delicate to the bold, three ?finals? were brought to The Sentence Works team where we discussed which they associated themselves with the most. Once agreed it was time for a splash of colour & where Judy & Adrian selected a deep purple from a selection of swatches we’d arranged. With the logo & colour palette, it was time to tackle the website (click the link to read about the website build).
A key part of creating a new brand is to build familiarity and identification, hence we created the apostrophe logo mark. This acts as a device to pull the brand together, communicate the brand instantly and will grow over time to become a symbol of their high standard of quality in copywriting and content.
We’re happy to say since launch we’ve received some fantastic feedback from The Sentence Works team and we hope the new website & brand help them bring more great content experiences!
