The Brief:

Since 2019 we’ve had the great pleasure of working with the fantastic Travel Places team. With over 40 years experience organising and managing travel plans for thousands of people every year, their clients are in good hands! Travel Places work many well known brands from The Scouts association through to Formula One teams like Mercedes.

During this time we have supported Travel Places with development, design and consultation whilst working with their original website, making incremental improvements in line with their business objectives.

After an in-depth kick off meeting with the Travel Places team we were ready to make a start! All outputs were captured on a new project board which provided both teams with clear tasks, deadlines, and queries on each step.

Fantastic agency who feel like a real extension to our team. They are always there when you need them and never too busy to run through concepts and thought processes with you. Great account management and Grant’s design background offers a fantastic opportunity to not only nail the dev and UX side of things, but it’s also always on brand and very fresh and relevant. The Approach:

Before getting our hands onto the code We first took some time to formulate a full understanding of the user behaviour on the website. What we found was a range of key pages that either blocked, stifled or didn’t support good user experience.

This presented us a great opportunity to make a range of quick wins – this was translated into a wishlist, bugs list and desires list. Working with the Travel Places team we could use these lists as a spring board to make user guided changes on site.

We started at pace by fixing a range of SEO issues on the website, whilst also updating the homepage to highlight key services and messages to promote more useful experiences. Throughout we’ve worked closely with the Travel Places marketing team to continuously update the website, and make customers aware of their service ranges.
